1935 Ford Model 48 Four Door Sedan

Incredible new looks, improved ride and important mechanical improvements made the Ford Model 48 the best selling American Automobile in 1935. All most twice as many as the 1934 Ford.  New looks on the 1935 Ford included a narrower streamlined grille, sleek body color headlight shells and chrome trimmed horizontal hood louvers.  Other 1935 Ford changes included new rounded fenders and twin tail lights. The windshield was much more sharply sloped and for the first time Ford offered a built in trunk on their 2 and 4 door body styles. No longer fitted were the old cowl lamps and external horns made their final appearance on the 1935 Ford

1935 Ford 4 door 4 passenger Fordor production was set at 120,000. The Standard Fordor sold for $575.00 and the Deluxe Fordor sold for $635.00. Sliding gear 3 speed transmissions were equipped in the 34 Ford's. Final drive was shaft drive and a 3/4 inch floating rear axle to 16 inch wheels and tires.
