Visiting La Conner

La Conner is a "seaside" village and art center that is reminiscent of the Northeast Coast but still distinctively Northwest.  Ther are wonderful art galleries and the Museum of Northwest Art (MONA) is a treasure.  LaConner is a true art center having been home to artists like Mark Tobey and Morris Graves who significantly influenced American art.  Some excellent restraunts are there such as Nell Thorn, Oyster and Thistle, and LaConner Brewing Company  and according to a recent guest "don’t miss The Hug-in-a-Bowl Haluski” at Anelia's Polish Kitchen & Stage.
