Visiting Anacortes

Anacortes is often referred to as the "Gateway to the San Juan Islands".  This is simply because the Washington State Ferries depart from Fidalgo Island where Anacortes is located.  It is a very popular tourist destination with pleanty of interesting shops.  The largest assortments of pubs, restaurants and bars close by is in Anacortes.
