1946 Chevrolet Pickup

One of the first official postwar models, this late-series 1946 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup has undergone a handcrafted transformation into a chopped, shaved and smoothed monochrome yellow custom truck. The original 6-cylinder Stovebolt was upgraded to a 5.7L small-block Chevrolet Corvette V-8 with tuned-port electronic fuel injection, aluminum radiator and rear-fender-exit exhaust for stealth sound and style. An automatic transmission with Lokar floor shifter channels power to the rear wheels.  The old gearbox has been replaced with rack-and-pinion steering coupled to a tilt column and a Lecarra steering wheel.  Front disc brakes providing modern road handling. Shaved handle suicide doors open to a custom-upholstered tan interior with crushed-velour headliner, leather bucket seats topped with embroidered "46" Chevrolet Bowties, sculpted door panels, power windows and cut-pile carpet. The tonneau cover raises with the press of a button to reveal an upholstered bed with battery access. Billet Specialties Fast Lane wheels wrapped in XXXX are ready to set this truck in motion and send the needle climbing up the White-face VDO speedometer.  Currently not for sale but offers will be entertained.
