The Bow Hill Railroad and Santa Train

The Bow Hill Railroad is located on the PRIVATE PROPERY of the Schimke Family at 16970 Colony RD., Bow, WA 98232.  It is generally open to the public a couple weekends before Christmas for public rides.   The rides are around the owners home on his own 24" gauge track.

The locomotive, #1715  was originally built as a compressed air locomotive by H.K. Porter Company in 1896 and converted to steam.  The live steam 0-4-0 locomotive was originally built as engine 17 for Hecla Mining CO.   H.K. Porter also built the narrow gauge railroad locomotive in Anacortes which was also converted to steam by Tommy Thompson.
